New study on vulnerable asylum-seekers in Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia.
This study looks into how relevant provisions of the Recast Reception Conditions Directive and the Recast Asylum Procedures Directive regarding the protection of victims of torture/traumatised asylum seekers are transposed into national legislation of the following Eastern EU Member States: Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia. The research found that several aspects of EU legislation are still not properly transposed which leads to vulnerable asylum-seekers not being identified and not receiving proper treatment. The publication is part of the ACESO project, co-financed by the European Commission (European Commission).Hungarian Helsinki CommitteeMagyar Helsinki Bizottság / Hungarian Helsinki Committeeled the initiative on which it worked together with Greek Council for Refugeesthe Cordelia Foundation for the Rehabilitation of Torture Victims, το Croatian Law Center, το Foundation for Access to Rights FAR Фондация за достъп до права ФАР και το Assistance Centre for Torture Survivors.
