Makd a donation today and support the Greek council of refugees

The Greek Council for Refugees relies on corporate and foundation sponsorships, individual donations, and membership subscriptions to carry out its work. Your donation can change the lives of the people we help every day.

Since 1989, we have supported over 151,700 refugees and asylum seekers. Every week, around 300 refugees walk through our door. These people are victims of war, persecution, human trafficking, violence, and torture. They came to our country because they had no other choice. It is our duty to help them continue their lives with dignity. In this effort, we need you by our side.

We commit to directing your donation to those who need it the most, and as part of our transparent operations, you will be informed about the results of our work as well as our financial data.

Your support can make a difference for people who are in absolute need.

Share your joy with an act of solidarity. Give people who have experienced violence and persecution the chance to stand on their feet again by asking your loved ones to support the work of the GCR instead of giving gifts.

We encourage donations of essential items from individuals and companies, which the GCR distributes to those in greatest need. We also urge those who want to make donations in kind, if possible, to convert the donation into vouchers that can be used by the refugees themselves. Send us an email at donations@gcr.gr, describing your donation and providing your phone number, and we will get in touch with you.

IMPORTANT: Currently, there is a need for food and baby supplies (milk, diapers, baby wipes, bottles, pacifiers). Due to the inability to manage them properly, we do not accept clothing donations.

SUPPORT OUR WORK THROUGH CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

The GCR offers reciprocal benefits that can highlight and enhance your company's social sensitivity. These reciprocal benefits vary according to the sponsor's interests.

You can help:

By sponsoring actions aimed at supporting vulnerable groups or raising awareness in Greek society.
By supporting training and employment programs for refugees by offering job placements or internships.
By organizing an event or other action in support of the GCR by your staff and matching the amount raised by your company's management (Matched Giving).
By placing a donation box in your stores, company premises, or at an event.
Instead of Christmas gifts or cards to your clients.
By donating a small percentage of your company's sales during a specific campaign (Cause-Related Marketing).
