The FURI project ("EU Funds for Fundamental Rights") aims to ensure that European Union funds are utilized in a manner that respects the rights of vulnerable groups, such as Roma, persons with disabilities, and refugees/migrants.
Through collaboration with organizations, public authorities, and media, the project will contribute to protecting the rights of these groups in EU-funded projects.
Co-funded by the European Union, FURI seeks to empower, raise awareness, and prevent discrimination, in line with the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights.
Activities
Capacity-building activities will be launched to address violations of fundamental rights as outlined in the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights.
These activities include:
• Workshops
• Advocacy activities
• Legal tools, such as policy proposals, legal proceedings, and submission of complaints to national and European authorities.
Results
The FURI project aims to support members of socially vulnerable groups, such as Roma, persons with disabilities, and refugees/migrants, whose rights may not be sufficiently protected in the context of EU-funded projects and policies.
The project seeks to improve their access to quality services and facilitate their social inclusion.
