The Thesaurus III – Engaging the Community project aims to:
Support refugee and migrant children in their integration process into Greek society, by:
-strengthening their self-confidence and trust in others,
-engaging them in artistic and digital creative activities,
-improving their Greek language skills,
-encouraging a love for reading and literature,
-fostering familiarity with Greek culture.
Facilitate artistic expression, both individual and group-based, in conventional and digital environments, while:
-enhancing social skills such as communication, active listening, respect, and empathy.
-Create a safe and supportive environment for children who have experienced trauma or marginalization, to:
-express themselves freely,
-connect with peers and facilitators,
-receive psychosocial support through creative collaboration.
-Creative expression, painting, and digital storytelling workshops.
-Language-enhancement activities through storytelling, reading, and theatre games.
-Digital showcases and participation in reading-promotion events.
-Group empowerment sessions fostering collaboration among children from diverse backgrounds.
The project has provide a meaningful, safe space for creative interaction, empowering dozens of refugee and migrant children and families. Its methodology promoted multilingualism, artistic freedom, and inclusive participation for all children involved.
