a. Promote a fair and efficient asylum and reception system that respects the rights of persons seeking international protection in Greece and the EU,
b. Identifying and highlighting the flaws of the failed “hotspot” approach in Greece and supporting alternatives under the Covenant,
c. Further search for legal and political ways to challenge the current situation at the Greek and European level.
a. Joint public statements, announcements in the face of important/unexpected developments,
b. Preparation of reports according to developments in the field,
c. Visits by GCR advocacy officers to islands or the mainland to collect information and support material that can be included in advocacy products,
d. Supporting travel of interested journalists - members of the press, to Lesvos or elsewhere,
e. Referral of important legal cases to the GCR Athens and Lesvos Office.
