Objectives
The program aims to:Το πρόγραμμα στοχεύει:
-Strengthen protection for migrants and refugees, especially children, against unlawful pushback practices at the EU’s external and internal borders.
-Support the development of strategic litigation to affirm the principle of non-refoulement and human rights in judicial decisions.
-Monitor and document pushback incidents to increase accountability, transparency, and public awareness.
Activities
-Documenting pushback incidents by collecting testimonies and first-hand data from Greece, Balkan countries, Lithuania, Poland, and Belgium to showcase the systematic nature of these practices
-Strengthening collaboration across the PRAB network (e.g., DRC, ASGI, SIP) to share field experience and legal strategies
-Supporting strategic litigation to challenge practices and enforce non-refoulement rights legally.
-Awareness-raising campaigns targeting national and EU stakeholders, building on documented cases to advocate for change .
-Advocacy for accountability and law reform, based on sound documentation and legal evidence.
