The Greek Council for Refugees is inviting you to the launch event of the “WING Project – EmpoWerING Actors in Civic Space Protection”, a new European project in which seven civil society organisations will join forces to respond to the increasing criminalization of solidarity towards migrants across Europe.

The event, moderated by journalist Vittorio Longhi, will include:
- Opening remarks and an introduction to the WING project by Guia Gilardoni (Fondazione ISMU ETS)
- Contextual framing of the issue by Silvia Carta (PICUM), focusing on recent trends in the criminalisation of solidarity across Europe
- Panel discussion on national perspectives, featuring:
- Poland: Marianna Wartecka (Ocalenie Foundation)
- Hungary: Anikó Bakonyi (Hungarian Helsinki Committee)
- Greece: Alkistis Agrafioti (Greek Council for Refugees)
- Italy: Federica Corsi (Oxfam Italia)
- France: Anna Sibley (GISTI)
All speakers are actively engaged in defending civic space in their respective countries.
