Το Ευρωπαϊκό Συμβούλιο για Πρόσφυγες και Εξόριστους (European Council on Refugees and Exiles -ECRE), σε συνεργασία με το Hungarian Helsinki Committee, την οργάνωση  Forum Réfugiés-Cosi και το  Irish Refugee Council δημιούργησαν μία ιστοσελίδα η οποία λειτουργεί ως βάση δεδομένων και πληροφοριών σχετικά με το άσυλο, με τίτλο «Asylum Information Database (AIDA)», στο πλαίσιο προγράμματος που χρηματοδοτεί το Ευρωπαϊκό Πρόγραμμα για Ένταξη και Μετανάστευση (European Programme on Integration and Migration -EPIM).

The website is aimed at legal practitioners, policy makers, media, researchers, but also the wide public and its goal is to provide information regarding asylum procedures, reception and detention conditions in 14 EU Member States (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Sweden and United Kingdom) through country reports, comparative indicators, local news, etc.

Country reports provide an overview of key aspects of the legal framework and practice in relation to the three areas of research conducted by Non-Governmental Organizations’ experts that work in the aforementioned Member States. These reports will be updated every six months while the website’s page regarding local news will present the most important developments that will take place in these countries in the meantime. The website will also include a comparative mechanism regarding asylum, by providing a brief depiction of the situation in the 14 countries, based on a series of indicators on pre-selected topics.

Moreover, the website includes links towards the official positions of ECRE and its members, information about current developments in the EU regarding asylum as well as evidence of relevant comparative researches focusing on asylum.
