The project includes the following activities:
• Research on national and European policies, standards and good practices concerning child safeguarding in the participating countries.
• Interviews and focus groups with children, adolescents and professionals living or working in child protection centres.
• Participatory co-design workshops with children and professionals to develop the Child Safeguarding Framework.
• Development of practical and visual tools, including leaflets, posters, illustrated guides and information materials in child-friendly language.
• Development of safe and child-friendly mechanisms for reporting safeguarding concerns and seeking assistance.
• Training for professionals working in child protection centres in Greece, Italy and Spain.
• Training for designated Child Protection Contact Points in the participating centres.
• Awareness-raising and empowerment workshops for children and adolescents concerning their rights and the available safeguarding mechanisms.
• Evaluation of the impact of the tools, training and awareness-raising activities on professionals’ knowledge and practices and on children’s sense of safety and well-being.
• Production of communication and digital materials, press releases and newsletters to disseminate the project’s activities and results.
• Organisation of a two-day transnational exchange of good practices in Greece, involving project partners, professionals and public authorities.
• Organisation of national events presenting the project’s results, tools and policy recommendations.
• Organisation of a European webinar presenting the outcomes of the project and promoting the wider replication of the SECURE model.
